K1 the legend of german design

The effort for building a machine able to challenge japanese ones was the target for BMW. K1 design team built the most aerodinamyc machine over the basis of the K 100 model.The model was launched at Köln Motorcycle Salon in 1988, and 6.921 units were built until is retirement in 1993.

 

The rarities: Brune K1

Collection includes special items like this Brune K1 motorcycle built by artisan constructor Brune in Germany. 50 chasis were built, and no much than 25 motorcycles were completed. Racing specs in shocks and brake system, increasing the K1 performances to the racing level. Power not declared was 150 CV.

The myth: brand new K1 Ultima

Collection includes this incredible K1 Ultima brand new: never run, zero kilometers! The machine, in pristine new condition has been stored by Ruynemans in the Netherlands during years, and has meet Sector K in february 2014. Natxo Barral will provide the maintenance to keep this machine as new for the future.

Introducing Sektor K

 

Sektor K is the largest european BMW K1 motorcycles collection. 13 pristine status motorcycles that show stylish and technological advance developped by the bavarian brand with this bike. Sektor K is not shown in a resident exhibition, buts is offered for hire on static or dynamic events, in the whole set or part sets.

Collection depicts all the original BMW colour schemes and variations: ABS and non ABS, european and north-american specs machines. All the bikes are registered and have insurance to run in all UE countries. Costs for hiring are extremally reasonables for these exclusive machines.

The Sektor K collection is based in Zaragoza, Spain, midway beetwen Madrid an Barcelona, 5 mins to Zaragoza Airport, 5 mins to the AVE High Speed train station, 20 mins to Zuera World Karting Series Circuit and 55 mins to Motorland MotoGP world championship racetrack.

The BMW K1 motorcycle

K1 was the BMW K family's super touring model, a futuristic bike with an incredible design that gives a 0,34 CX with the prone rider, and a maximum speed of 240 km/h. K1 offered the first K 1000 cc 16 valve engine with the Bosch integrated Motronic electronics control, delivering a limited power of 100 CV at 8.000 rpm. The model was launched at Köln Motorcycle Salon in 1988, and 6.921 units were built until is retirement in 1993.

 

BMW K1 Silver Jubilee

Despite not being sold until 1989, K1 first series started to be built in 1988, an the machine was presented in 1988 Köln Motorcycle Salon, then 2013 is their Silver Jubilee. Additionnally 2013 is the 30rd anniversary of the K engines launch, started in 1983 with the first BMW K100 motorcycle. Sektion K will participate in meny events during 2013.
